a belated new year

well a new year has come and gone.
it was another fine midnight for us
prior to leaving good old nyc for the holidays mary and i visited the times square ball.
there is a hidden visitor's center you can see it at
one wall has posted on it hundreds of pieces of confetti
you write your wish on a piece
they drop it from the sky on new years
we made a wish
if i told you  it wouldn't come true (if truth be know i am not 100% sure what i wrote....)

then the magic happened

a light show coordinated to "new york, new york" by the one and only frank sinatra

this was a good second best to seeing it drop 

seeing if up close was something crazy

it's small

intricate in a way you would never think

a pro at light showing 

a fine way to ring in any new year
