January- A Tiny Ode
Let's just start with this, I find myself hating January.
Perhaps I've gradually convinced myself of it over the years, or it may just be because it's awful, regardless;
I hate it.
Having strep, or the flu, or RSV, or whopping cough, or..... for 3/4 weeks doesn't heal my animosity.
Another thing I like is overcrowded gyms and talk of so many future failed goals.
Oh and how about the coldest temperatures of the year without any twinkly lights to offset the depressive grays?
I love that.
Dangerous conditions around every turn, frozen walkways, black ice, snow storms, windshields that need scrapping.....
I blame January.
There's always the reminder that the joys of Christmas have just been obliterated for another 12 months.
Thanks January.
January does mark the New Year though- and I like new things.
Because I like new things and goals (& at the request of my significant other) I'm going to write more.
January is making me do this thing.
Even though I hate most things about January- it does give me a reason to start something that may never be finished, but hey, it's a start.
So I'm writing and it will be completely random and may or may not include pictures, but I have a lot of things to say, and even if no one reads them, I'm going to say them.
Here's to January!
