winter's eve
there's this tree at the lincoln center
they light it up
throw a block party
live music
food booths
crazy characters in costume
bringing holiday cheer to all those around
we partook
here's how it all went down

mares rode on a chariot of kindness to the shindig
she had to take a gander at the art
every angle
every piece
then she saw a kid on a scoot
she lured him in with her smile
he said "i like that baby"
then she snagged his scoot
he loved her though
mommy-daughter bond sesh
golding grandparent bond sesh
she pulled some sick moves on the railing
until she was chastised by the security guard
then for some reason there was a lemur....
a masquerade gal had to take to the streets
she was walking a dinosaur
the dynamically random duo
(i guess lemurs, masquerade ball goers, and dinosaurs are the mascots of winter's eve?)
no party is complete without paper people of awesomeness
trampling pedestrians and getting caught in trees
mares was confused by winter's eve
we became quite the dynamic crowd
these are a few of the strangely great things winter's eve brought.
not pictured: a big band, another band, some folk dancers, and whomever else was randomly roaming the streets.
this lovely little tree lighting was a good teaser to the rockefeller plaza tree we are going to go see.
happy winter's eve to all of you.
