The Bargainer

I consider myself a "bargain" finder.
Ok, I'll confess, it's probably to a fault.
Like I will drive to a store 10 miles out of the way to save 50 cents.
That makes sense right?
I've been trying to revise my lifestyle so I really am getting a bargain.
The other day I was in search of those tiny vaseline bottle lip balms....
I mean- they're tiny, they're adorable, they're functional, they're the whole package.
Anyway, I was looking for those because I NEED them.
Amazon had a sweet deal 12 for $20, but wait I swipe and what do I see...
48 for $20, yes, 48.
That makes those babies about 42 cents a pop, an approximate $1.24 cheaper than I had found per lip balm.
So naturally I purchased them.
I call this "Bulk Purchase Syndrome".
I have this disorder.
I am not in denial.
Costco and I are friends and enemies and basically toxic.
Every time I see those "extra" discounted prices on 10 pounds of any available item I will purchase that item.
Even if I have never used that item before in my life.
Maybe I'll use it?
I could use it?
If I don't use it, I can give it away as a present?
I really can't afford to not buy it?
Right?
So I bought 48 tiny vaseline lip balms.
To discover......
They were only vaseline.
Not "lip therapy", just regular vaseline.
48 of the tiniest, cutest, most adorable, worthless items you could ever purchase.
I instantly catapulted to a lifestyle of change when I realized what I had done.

From this I reaffirmed my knowledge that more is not always better and
that a "need" is very situational.
Also..... I still need to seriously work on my issues with Costco.
One. Thing. At. A. Time.
