a play date with history

mares and i decided an escapade to d.c. was on the to do list. here are a few of the accomplished items.
our historical to do list:

ride every subway in the u.s.

make a one year old climb her way to the lincoln memorial

stop by and give george washington our regards

make some strides by THE capital

find out how secrets are kept; and see a lovely 9/11 memorial along the way 

 try to teach mares appropriate monument behavior 

she learned the proper behavior 

show mares one of my favorite places in the world

have a stranger take a picture for us where lincoln passed

needless to say we had ourselves a fine time in the greatest capital in the world.
