the. yankee's. (a three-peat)

this last wednesday, thursday, and friday we went to yankee's games.
the wednesday and friday games were on purpose.... while the thursday game was not. (hence my attempted ticket scalping post earlier.)
my little sisters have been in town so we had to go to a game.
i bought the wednesday tickets for us 5 to go.
then by some stroke of luck i convinced my parents to come out too (i may have used the yankee's as convincing matter....); so we got tickets for the friday game.
my dad is a die-hard yankee's fan.
i mean since i was little my dad has been true to those yank's through the victories and failures.
sooo i knew my only hope in getting my dad to come to nyc was using the yankee's as bait.
thank you yankee's for getting my parents to come to nyc.
here's how our games went down in order via pictures-
the first with the little sisters
naturally we sat by the only toronto fans in the whole stadium....
mary swapping seats about 5 million times.
we bought a yankee's hat for $5- that's unheard of.
it became a good babysitter for mares.
 the yankee watching crew
(mary ripped her yankee jersey off for a breezier dress around mid game.)
then dale and i had a date night
we sat by the craziest fans around (probably because we were in the bleachers)
once again we sat by toronto fans... we love to draw the bad fans.
-hi there photo bombing citizen-
 thank you yankee's
i was so excited to get my dad to the game that naturally i took an express 5 10 extra stops
20 extra stops total
that's how things go.... when you're in an excited hurry.
i told my dad there were games on friday and saturday.
asked him if he wanted to see the city or go to another yankee's game.
he said he wanted to go to 2 yankee's games.
respect.
 when we arrived though-
it was like christmas, my birthday, and firework on the fourth of july.
haven't been this excited to see someone see a sporting event in all my life.
mary loved every second of it too.
(she especially loved the non-stop grandpa diet pepsi)
a walk off home run victory for the yankee's.
we high fived strangers.
cheered til the stadium was almost cleared.
and will remember it as one of the greatest baseball games we've ever seen.
thank you yankee's for really coming through.
i woke up one night thinking about all the baseball we were going to be watching- wondered about it honestly.
that's a lot of baseball for a toddler in particular.
it was glorious.
nothing like being in yankee's stadium.
mostly there's nothing like being in yankee's stadium with my dad.
thank you yankee's for being in nyc;
because you are my dad came to visit.

we (my mom, dad, maggie, hannah, and i) are off to the united kingdom tomorrow.
i am excited, but i am getting homesick for/nervous about leaving mary and dale.
wish me luck on my first motherly vacation.
happy week start everyone.
