a crazy megalopolis saturday

saturday was on the crazy side.
i saw things i don't image i will see ever again, and naturally i was just to late to get pictures each time.
first when i was getting on the subway to meet this lovely couple
(@ the splendid highline)
i saw a man playing two trumpets simultaneously.... yes two at his mouth, each hand playing one of them, each trumpet playing something different. believe it even if it's unbelievable.

then later in the day me and  this guy got to go on a date because of the lovely couple previously mentioned.
(@wollman's rink)
while walking through central park i hear something within my step.
i expect it to be a rat -because those are frequent visitors-
but no, it's a raccoon! then i look, it's not a lone raccoon, but two. a double spicy raccoon pack.
as i am trying to snag a picture these things are starting to get feisty.
because of my nervous picture taking i am unsuccessful and miss this opportunity of a lifetime.
fail.

after a near leg loss step to a raccoon pack we got to eat our favorite date food=sushi.... yes.
all-you-can-eat.
we are pumped.
our quest back on the lovely subway and presented ample opportunity to snag a few pics along the way.
naturally we had to stop at this place in transit. (grand central station- holla)
time square was a must see-
had an awkward bonding moment run in with a pack of cartoon characters.
i saw hello kitty staring me down hard so i said hello and held my hand out for a high five- which became a lingering hand raise hand touch- it was a special moment.
i then shared this same moment with the other two or three cartoon characters that followed hello kitty.
it was a moment i will cherish forever.

on our last subway transfer we saw a man (with blood alcohol level of probably 0.59), pants down, talking about his legit $750 dollar jacket and how everyone should want to be in his crew.
(there were a lot more explicit terms used to describe this statement- and a lot of words no one understood, but those words don't need repeating.)
and that's how our night ended.

the recap-
double trumpet player to welcome the day
a near double raccoon step on
a bonding moment with a pack of cartoon characters
and a pants down drunk to finish it off

thank you nyc.
