ode to central park
the world's most famous park is in our backyard.
let me tell you there is a reason people chat it up about this park.
miles and miles of trails- for running, rollerblading (i heart rollerblading), biking, horse buggy riding, you name it they got it.

(which naturally holds a special place in this sheep herder daughters heart)
mares likes frolicking here best
the mall-
where fine arts meet the outdoors
performers galore= musicians, dancers, painters, and my fave- bubble makers.
when mares goes to her favorite central park playground this is how she spends her time.

-where the lovely serendipity was filmed-
when i think ice rinks in new york this is the one i think of
during the summer it houses a mini carnival area
bethesda fountain
from this fountain you get a lovely view of the lake
-my favorite body of water at central park-
also- - teeny/big turtles swim within capturing distance here.
mares may have been a bit indecent at a park on the east side of central park.....

an area of the park dedicated as a tribute to john lennon
entrance at 72nd and central park west- location of the dakota apts where john lennon was murdered

these are some of our most frequented/most admired places at central park.
it's a magical park; if i may be so sappy.
there is a very good reason why we've spent more time here then any other place besides our apartment.
