central park zoo
awhile back we meandered to the central park zoo.
took me 4 days to find it.
hardest place ever to find in central park.
i could smell the animals, i could see their cages, but i could not find the entrance.
it was a lengthy struggle,
but who could deny this pure joy face for animals a trip to the zoo.
prep yourself
smallest zoo ever (my fathers farm may rival it for animal variety and quantity)
not to mention the polar bear had passed so the main event was indisposed
-the kid waited all day to see the polar bear-
the penguins were a great 2nd main event
strange rodent family members are preferred
reflections can't be beat
but the tisch's children zoo (that comes free with admission to the cp zoo)= best thing ever
-probably because it housed all the animals i grew up with on our farm, got a bit tender/home sick in this zoo-
dangerous rabbit climbing inspired by elder children
mary meet lamb
you had, will have, and always have a lamb
better grow real fond of them fast
mary meet goat
you never had or will have a goat
the kids don't know the song if you do
a moment to ponder lamb
got lost with wombats....
arachnid acrobats make for fine moments
it was a lovely day at the zoo.
we met up with jessica, mary, and cora- which made it ever better.
now i wouldn't go to the miniature cp zoo again or recommend it- but i would recommend the tisch children's zoo.
