mary meets the easter bunny

a week ago today we took mary to an easter egg hunt in tribeca
it was put on for free by a church.
it included face painting, some crazy easter rendition games, an egg hunt, massive crowds of people, and that lovable cousin to the rodent- rabbit. (or easter bunny for the season)
when we arrived the line to get in was around the block.... but literally- wrapping around the block; so close to two blocks long.
we almost called it quits right there....
but new york city has a respectable way of moving lines along so we decided to wait awhile and see how it fared.
here's how things went down
mary got crazy with easter ambition so that sealed the deal
we had a lovely background
 mary commandeered the slide....
and nearly got ran down by the bigger kids
then she decided other activities were more her forte
 she wanted her face painted
but had no regard for the line
then it was her time to find eggs
they filled a small classroom with balloons and hid eggs in them
they had an early walkers group just for mare and her peers
she felt alive with easter hoppiness....
popped more balloons than picked up eggs
then her parents forced her to collect a few eggs for a pic
she decided she liked eggs filled with candy
but got greedy and went for the "big" eggs instead
then she boycotted egg hunt end
after this fine hunt i waited in line so mary could meet the easter bunny
she loved every second of this parent inflicted torture
he/she really was an extra nice easter bunny (a lot nicer than the macy's santa claus....)
and just for good measure here's some i edited to look extra creepy
grateful this church put on this cute easter celebration.
it was great and entertaining and mary mostly loved it.
happiest of easter's to all of you!
