the mets game

one of my favorite couples of all time came into town.
they go by porter and carlie.
they are family you see.
carlie ran the boston marathon the same day they came into town.
we had tickets to a mets game.
since we were a bit late we were upgraded.
sometimes procrastination does have it's benefits. (on very, very, very, few occasions....)
we went from tip top squint seats to see the faces of the players seats.
here's how it went down.
it's not to bad to miss most the game if you get to see this for part of it
at first mares was baseball timid
she started getting the feel of the scene
she became a rambunctious fan quite quickly
then there was no containing her
she felt quite proud to be in this uncles arm
we missed carlie
she was returning a rental car and being denied baseball stadium entrance by mean guards
there was a big apple that popped up after the game
porter told me if they hit a home run it shows itself
i guess if they win it does too

this made a mamas heart like***
 the jackie robinson rotunda
mares tried to pet the mascot (and/or poke it...)
 exterior selfie!
although we only caught a small portion of the game it was good times.
any amount of time with this fine couple is legit.
and any time you get to see a baseball game first hand is awesome too.
happy bonding time to all of you.
