the big hunt

i wondered what type of activities nyc had for easter

i expected a few egg hunts, some church services- the usual

come to find out nyc puts on the bigest egg hunt in the world 

it enlists local artists to design eggs

they hide them all over the city

there is a big egg hunt app

you scan codes and collect eggs

there is a $48,000 pendant up for grabs via this egg searching sweepstakes 

we took a day and gathered 32 of the 260+ eggs

we plan on gathering more

it was an eggcellent eggventure (dumb i know.... but it had to be done) 

but seriously it was awesome. i expected little eggs of art but they were big. 

what city hides art eggs and offers ridiculous prizes. 

at first i thought i would get crazy and collect them all but they span all the burroughs and mares isn't too keen on couple hour subway rides lately.... and i can only give her so many fruit snacks to stroller tame her.

so we collected a few. 

it was crazy interesting to see all the forms an egg can come in.
