stonehenge

tuesday came of july the 1st.
we spent a few moments in wales wandering around the castle.
i bought a love spoon- come to find out it is a tradition there to give a spoon to someone you love.
i like it a lot so i bought one.
it's romantic isn't it?
then we continued our road trip southward.
the only thing standing between us and london was a lot of country side and stonehenge.
such a place deserves a lone post.
this was another one of the few places i really, really, really wanted to see.
it's been on my to see bucket list for a long time.
who knew you could see it from the road.
it was itty bitty when we were driving by- i was a bit shocked by it's size.
wasn't to sure if this "stonehenge" thing was really up to all the hype based on our drive by.
we drove closer-
it was up to all the hype.
possibly even worth the outrageous price tag.
these stones are massive.
art in the middle of nowhere.
it really is quite something.
then the light was peaking through the clouds just right.
the fields were perfectly vibrant green.
it was the perfect combination of every element.
then i schemed my sisters into reenacting "stonehenge"
one of my favorite pics of all time. period.
**love you mom and dad**
who knew a bunch of tall rocks stacked in a certain way could draw such a crowd?
there is a reason they do.
i don't know if i have ever seen something so fascinating.
they had a visitors center that tried to deduce the origin- i like aliens or magic better.
let's just stick with that and get about 2 million visitors a year and don't ask questions.....
i mean i felt a bit of magic there.
everything pointed to mystery.
makes sense to me.

it was spectacular.

may you're every day be filled with spectacles.
