an anniversary

yesterday was the big day-
the anniversary day that dale and i were wed.
4 years- which seems like no time at all but all the time in the world.
i almost forget our anniversary every year..... which is probably bad and good (good for dale- bad in every other way)
this anniversary we went on our first date this year in nyc.
nothing crazy.
but perfect-
we went to a movie.
these four years have taught me a lot.
a few lessons i would like to share.
but first a chronological picture display.

-getting married is the best decision i ever made. 

-marriage is hard. it's probably the hardest role i have ever had to fill. but from the hardest roles we find our greatest happiness. 

-mother (due to wife) is the most beautiful roll i have ever been able to fill. because of it i have learned so much about myself. 

-by being a wife/mother i have learned about others in a way i never thought possible. 

-some of my greatest weakness have been found on account of being a wife. 

-because i have found my greatest weaknesses i have become a better person. 

-good men are hard to come by. 

-my husband does things other husbands wouldn't think of doing. (like cooking all the time, cleaning, putting up with craziness from me all the time..... to name a few.)

-being unforgiving only hurts yourself. 

-there is relationship strength attained in focusing on others strengths.

-having a family is my grandest adventure- full of triumphs, failures, drama, happiness, grief, joy, pain, all the goods. 

happy 4 years to my best friend and comrade forever. 

you make my life better, you make me better.
